LEARNING SPACES
We know that all children learn differently, which is why we use a range of different spaces to engage students in their learning. Our agile learning spaces include flexible seating, integrated technology and breakout spaces. Our students are easily able to collaborate, create, explore and work independently.
SPECIALISED AREAS
MULTI PURPOSE LEARNING AREA
Our large multi purpose learning area supports a variety of activities including music and art lessons from our speciaist creative arts teacher.
OUT OF HOURS CARE
Ambrose Early Years Learning and School Aged Care provides before and after school care for students in Years K-6 in a well resourced space located on the school grounds. Specialist staff take great care of the students in a safe and secure environment that encourages positive social interaction.
SCHOOL LIBRARY
Our library is a favourite for all students who use it for reading, games, craft activities. Every class visits at least weekly to borrow books and develop their love of reading.
OUTDOOR AREAS
Students at Sacred Heart also enjoy making the most of the school’s outdoor areas. These include sports courts and fields, a quiet area and our covered amphitheatre.
BASKETBALL COURT
Student health and fitness is important to us and we encourage our students to play a number of sports. A large basketball court is one of a number of areas available for students to take part in fun, active play.
PLAYING FIELD
We strive to offer our children a range of activities and sporting opportunities that help to develop the whole person. Our large open playing field is used for games such as soccer and being artificial turf, it is in excellent condition for running around on all year, no matter the weather.
HANDBALL COURTS & TOSSBALL TOWER
Ball games are a popular past time at Sacred Heart, with many students enjoying the use of our handball courts and specially designed tossball tower.
COVERED OUTDOOR LEARNING AREA & AMPHITHEATRE
Our fully undercover amphitheatre space gives our students somewhere safe to play in all weather conditions. It also provides a central area for assemblies and afternoon pick up.
